The NW-CS-5 is a hanging scale for weighing loads that are suspended from a crane or hoist. The body sits between the lifting point and the load, with a lifting loop above and a hook below, and readings appear on the built-in display together with a remote control that lets the operator tare and read the weight from ground level.
It is a vertical-lifting instrument. The rated capacity covers the suspended load including slings and spreader, the lifting point has to be rated for the same load, and side pull or shock loading sits outside its operating assumption. For a yard or workshop that already runs cranes, this is a way to check incoming scrap, bundles or castings without moving the load onto a floor scale.
