The NW-CW-5 is an in-line checkweigher for packs up to 5 kg. Packs pass over the weighing section on a short conveyor, the controller compares each reading with a target weight and an accepted tolerance, and packs outside the tolerance are diverted by the reject mechanism. It is normally installed as one station in a filling or packing line.
The figure that matters is not the resolution of the weighing section but the accuracy the line can hold: it depends on how stable the pack is, the belt speed, how many readings can be taken per pack and how the pack is transferred onto the belt. A trial with the actual packs at the running speed therefore belongs to the selection, together with the reject device, the signals exchanged with the line controls and the way the machine is cleaned.
